I'm Emma, a wavy-haired geek most often found chasing my two kids, frequently with my camera in one hand.

I've always found huge pleasure in beautiful things. Whether it's appreciating the way light falls across a field at sunset, or my latest craft project (I'm relentlessly creative), I can't remember a time when the world hasn't been full of beauty. When my children were born, my innate creativity was joined by a desire to capture all those mesmerising but fleeting moments. Photography seemed like the most natural expression of these different parts of my life!

One of the most beautiful things to me is people and their connection to each other. Each family and relationship has its own magic, and it's such a privilege to capture that through photography. I don't think I'll ever get tired of it. It's my secret power: shaping light and freezing time.

I'm lucky to live in a stunning part of the world. Cheltenham is perched right at the edge of the Cotswolds, and I'm constantly delighted by the new places my husband and I explore with our kids. If only it was closer to the sea, it would be perfect!

2. I'm a making-it-through mother - I definitely don't have it all figured out, but we have fun along the way.
    

3. I love reading, but my life is so busy these days that I mainly listen to audiobooks.
    

4. I'd be lost without my bullet journal - it keeps me organised and it's another creative outlet.
    

5. I'm a can't-help-it researcher - if I'm doing something, I need to know as much as I can about it! I love that there's always more to learn about photography and understanding light (it's endlessly fascinating).
